I have a Graflex Super Speed Graphic 4 by 5 camera. However, the
focusing back release arms snapped off of the focus panel back, (because I accidentally pulled the back in the wrong direction). I was
wondering if you knew how to attach the focusing back release arms to
the focus panel. The instructions that I found talked about using a
wrench to pull back the bar to put the arm under. Can you please tell me if there is an easier way to reattach the arm? I'd prefer not to break the camera if there's an easier way to move the bar on the back of the focusing panel. Thank you in advance for any advice you can provide.

Thank you.

Did the back frame or focus panel break?
No- pry up on the tapered end of the spring and slip the arm under it then release the spring. A #0 or #1 slot screwdriver with a 3 or 4 inch blade should work fine.

Ok, so I do have to pry the metal bar on the focusing panel with a screw driver or something to slip the arm under it. Nothing broke. The arms just slipped out from under the bars on the focusing panel and I wanted to make sure that there wasn't a screw that I needed to unscrew to loosen it.

So I tried prying the bars with a flat head. There's no room to even insert the flat head. It may require a wrench.

If the end of a slot screwdriver won't fit how do you figure a wrench will fit?

I tried looking at the pic but flicker won't give me access. Is it possible we are talking about two different parts of the camera?

Ok, so we are talking about the same part of the camera. Are there any other options for the method to get the arm back under the bar?
