Its a 6x9.. interesting ,, loaded it for the first time today.. and learned that you had to push down with the roll, in order to get it on.
No big deal, but different.
Question is: Had the indicator on S and rolled it to 1.. now there seems to be no 'notch'. A mechanical stopping point. It seems the only indicator you have, is the line has to be aligned up with the number of the shot?
Is this correct?
I'm afraid to keep advancing the roll of film.
Or is there a ', 'notch' or is there suppose to be?
Somehow I doubt it, but wanted to verify.
One would have to be careful and not over advance or not advance enough.

Read the manual.

If you don't have the manual, go here http://www.southbristolviews.com/pics/Graphic/graphicmanuals.html and download it.

There is a notch for each frame, but when the mechanism gets worn it doesn't always work reliably. One of my roll holders is in this state - one has to advance it very carefully, and watch for the release catch to move as the indication that it is now in the notch. The Graflex roll holders are rather cheaply made, nothing like the engineering standard of the Pacemaker Speed Graphic.

Ok thank you both... looking at the manual.. and taking in consideration in your statement that there is a 'notch', and so turned it just a little more, and watched the release lever, and it went into place...
thanks again...
