Hi,
Could you please help me to date a Pacemaker Speed Graphic S/N 839610, recently aquired here in UK.
Graphic Back, Side mounted Kalart R/F, Ektar 152 f4.5 in No 3 Supermatic X (max speed 1/200).

According to the FAQ, EI give lens manufacture date as 1948
How long typically would lenses sit on the shelf? |

there is no "typical". With ektars, I would expect them to move quickly. A camera made in early '48 might have a '47 lens. In this case I'd feel comfortable saying your camera was made in '48.
Now I've seen Carl Zeiss Jena lenses pop up after '45. These had to be sitting on the shelf during the war since they were uncoated and the B-17s had pretty much leveled the factory during the war.
