Does anyone know where I might be able to get a series VI slip on adapter for my Kodak Extar f4.5 101mm lens.
Has to be a slip on as there are no treads on this lens. |

I use an old Kodak 1 1/4 inch (31.5 mm)on my Ektar 101 f/4.5, that I've had for years. The last time I bought an adapter ring that was not a screw on type I got it directly from Tiffen. I think they still have a web site but I don't know the address.
Hope this info helps.

Try keh.com in their used department. Also, B&H may have something in their used filter stuff. They usually have filters but adapter rings? You might also try Pacific Rim Camera. As mentioned, eBay is proably the best bet. And a lot of patience.

On ebay, enter your search as VI and then enter Cameras and photo from the pull down bar and search, and go through a few pages and see if that doesn't work, I found a few that way.
B&H sells an economical aluminum General Brand 44mm step up to 55mm that I found screws right into the series VI slip ons.
you might have to back order it but I have received two and they have served me well with Cokins and another step up for all my 62mm filters from 35mm kits.
Keep trying there are thousand of them out there. |

Back in the days before uBuy ruined the camera shows, these things were plentiful for a couple of bucks a throw or less. Camera shows in your area may still be the best bet. The size (31.5mm = 1-1/4") you're looking for was *very* common, but then so was a lot of the stuff we use. |
