I'm not going to destroy a real flash handle for a pretty whimsical purpose, so I would like to replicate it as accurately as possible, except for maybe the wiring/functionality.
I've done my research, and I know how most of the device is put together, except for a couple of parts. First, most fanmade replicas are dumb single-piece pipes with a fake clamp epoxied in the right position. I want to make it the way the original was--a top piece, a bottom piece, and a clamp that holds them together.
I've tried looking for good pictures, but it's tough. I even looked through the Graflex Flash Synchronizer/Graflex Flashing Unit Instruction Manual, and it doesn't tell you how to disassemble and reassemble the handle, or provide pictures of it disassembled.
Does anyone know of any booklet, book, website, ANYTHING, that has pictures of the bottom, clamp, and top seperately? Or perhaps some of you can take some pictures of your handles for me? Also, how does the clamp hold the top and bottom together, exactly? The little lever? Thanks. |
