For handheld 4x5" I've been using Tri-X in Acufine, and I get an honest EI of 640 with normal contrast and reasonable shadow detail.

I've been experimenting a bit with XR-1, and I'm getting an EI of 1280, but the results are on the flat side, even with lengthened development times and increased agitation, so I'll see if I can tweak the formula to improve contrast without causing other problems (i.e., loss of speed, increased base fog). Info on XR-1 can be found at unblinkingeye.com.

Rumors (and that's about all they are) seem indicate that the Rollei R3 film as variously either Agfa Copex or Bluefire Police. I don't think I want to try it to find out.
