Becky birthday
Becky's birthday.

walki talkies
They look exactly like the Palm VII, including the flip-up antenna, but they are just kidie walkie-talkies. I wonder which is more useful? $18.99 for a pair.

Memorial for Rich Gold

We just got back from a combination Buddhist-Jewish memorial service for Rich Gold, a prolific friend and colleague who passed away suddenly last week. Read about him, or read talks on art, collaboration, computers, and knowledge, manifestoes or the draft of his forthcoming nook The Plenitude.

I first knew Rich by reputation from running Little Computer People on the Commodore 64; it was the forerunner of The Sims. Later, I knew Rich at Xerox and PARC, where he spent a number of recent years. We will all miss him.

Go read the book.

Here is Ian McKellar's weblog. He's the guy with the orange hair in the picture in the article about the Hiptop from CNET (I'm in the article too). Here I am under Ficus's red left arm at the far right, wearing a green jacket.

Here is Becky, in the background behind Ficus's video camera

Here we both are.

Here we are about to go inside

Here are Becky and I behind a dangerous person.
