Uncle Jim's Teacakes

My grandmother used to make these, but they weren't called Uncle Jim's, at least as far as I knew. One of my sister's in-laws gave me this version of the recipie, which is close enough. It uses lots of flour, so be careful with your Kitchenaide!

Ingredients

1-1/2 cups shortening
1 cup buttermilk
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 eggs
10 cpus flour
optional cinnamon or nutmeg
