I posted a query about film in the K20 in the Graphic section to no avail, so I'll try again here.
The K-20 and K-25 (not K-24 as I said in the other post) used "5 1/4" inch roll film, which in fact measures less, say 5.2 inches wide.
The question is, can 5 inch wide film be used? The film gate of the K-20 is concealed behind pressures plate apparatus so non-invasiveexamination does not appear possible.
Has anyone tried?
Another Q or 2
Graflex made roll holders for at least two formats long ago: #53 for 4x5 and #51 for 3x4 (I think)
I have not seen any references to film sizes for these holders
Was "#53" a film size, or did it use a Kodak size?
Did Graflex make one for 5x7 maybe "#52" or "54"?
Thanks

My 1919 Catalog states 5 sizes of roll holders from No.50 for 2x3 to No.54 for 5x7.
One
Two
Three
Four

Okay for those sharpies out there that count 4 formats from 2x3 to 5x7, The No.52 was for 3 1/2 x5. a format available on the top handle speeds and the Compact Graflex.

Most people know that kodak roll film started with 101 and went up from there. Graflex film was apparently reverse rolled and therefore needed a special number. A bit more info is here:

I don't have an anser about the compatablity of 5 inch aero with the K cameras. I never could afford the B-17 to use them so I never bought one.

Thanks very much: Progress!
I would like to try shooting the K-20 while I still have the strength to load it on the truck.
