HI there, I thought I might have put my post in the wrong place (other graflex) so am posting it again here. If I've done the photo links incorrectly can you please explain how to do it.

I have two very old Graflex.
I would estimate 1930 - 1950
Both belonged to my cinematographer father (JohnMcLean ACS), and to Frank Hurley (Sun newspaper reporter) before him.
I'm very confused about which models they are, I can't find ANY serial nos on either of them. I can see many that look similar, but none that are the same...eg of the smaller version, none have the exact flip up view finder.

Please see the pictures attached The first lot of pictures in the first URL is #1 camera, this camera is only about 6.5" high, 4.75" wide including the cartridge, and 5.75" long. Is it a miniature? So far it sems more like one than anything else, but is still larger than the sizes given, and not exactly with the right viewfinder. etc.

the second url (IDENTITY SOLVED) contains pictures of the #2 camera which is much bigger by 3 or 4 times.

if there are any features I can describe to you that would help, let me know. I don't know my way around them well, but will try. Again, if I've put the link in for p hotos wrong, please let me know how to do it properly.
thankyou in advance.

Many thanks,
Jenny.

Interesting.

You posted two identical links, so we can't see the second camera you mentioned. Please post a link to photos of the second camera.

I just looked in a few of the catalogs at https://www.pacificrimcamera.com/rl/rlgraflexmisc.htm, am not sure what the camera for which you posted photos is. The side handle is wrong for the original Speed Graphic and so is the wire frame finder. The original doesn't have one. The pop up peep sight for use with the wire frame finder is wrong for the "Pre-Anniversary" Speed Graphic and so, come to think of it, is the frame finder's mount.

Dan, your URL posting caught a comma at the end. Try https://www.pacificrimcamera.com/rl/rlgraflexmisc.htm

My apologies, here is the second lot of photos of the second, larger camera (and also amended in the original post.)

THIS IDENTITY SOLVED. An RB Tele Graflex.
Now only the small one remains unsolved.

have now amended that, thankyou. Posted new link, if you would kindly look at it.

I know! It's so strange! That's right, I can't find a camera with a side handle, or a wire frame finder OR a pop up sight, that is like it. You've come up with the same conclusion...that is, none. It's very frustrating.
One question...youdon't suppose they made different models for Australia and New Zealand? Sometimes companies adapted products for various uses. It's really odd. Any further help would be MUCH appreciated. I don't feel I can list it ******* for myfather, until I have the proper identification.

This site was VERY helpful in helping me identify the second larger camera.
It is an RB Tele. Graflex Folmer and Schwing Division, dated to 1915-23 with a reversible back that allowed a portrait or landscape option.

I am embarrassed to say that I didn't know the RB Tele was the model. as I had never heard of them before. So Dan, thankyou so much for that link.

Now, if you all could help me with the first camera, I'll post more photos.

Please find all the photos I have of the unidentified camera at this link, I would be most grateful for your help.
