I assume the world must be close to ending. Just acquired a 2x3 pacemaker speed that had been in storage for years only to find that the Supermatic shutter sounds accurate, the rangefinder works and matches the lens, and the scale for the focus matches the rangefinder. This is great because I hate having to work on the rangefinder.

There are two small problems.

1) I'm missing a thumbscrew for the front standard tilt and I don't have a spare. Does anyone know where I can get one?

2)The bed rails (yoke) is bent. I have one from a scrap Century that I assume will fit. Can I just move the scales/infinity stops and rangefinder cam arm from old to new and call it done? After finding one with the RF and scales already set up I would hate to break it.

Parts from the Century should work on the Crown as they are basically the same camera with different body materials.

Well the transplant was a complete success, the bed now fully retracts and I have cleaned inside and out. I haven't been able to check if the rangefinder is still set up and I'm hoping the light grease I got loses some of its smell over time. Other than that she cleans up perfect.

OR

If its contrary and does not want to adjust easily, remove it from the camera body, disassemble completely, clean, lightly lube the moving parts, and reassemble. It will be worth the effort.

Some additional tips can be obtained from
