I want to mount a flashgun on the side of my new mint Crown Graphic 4x5. It does not have the bracket that the flash clamps onto. I took the bracket off my old Crown Graphic but the screws did not work to screw it in. Where can I get a bracket that the flash clamps onto. Thanks

I got a bracket this morning at a local camera store. He had it in an old brown envelope with other misc. things. I got it for $5 but he had not screws. So, I still can not mount it until I find the two screws. Anyone know of any store on line anywhere that has screws for the Crown Graphic bracket?
Also, there is a piece of paper in the exact shape of the bracket that came with it. Looks like a paper washer??? Should I use it if I find the screws? Funny that the screws that held on my Speed Graphic bracket are a tad too small to use on the Crown Graphic.

What make of synchronizer battery case are you trying to mount?
Are the strap handle lugs on both sides of the "mint Crown"?
A Graflite synchronizer uses two clamps that connect into the strap handle lugs when the strap handle is removed.

The handle lugs are attached with machine screws and have a corresponding nut on the inside of the body that frequently sticks to the inside of the body. The body does not have threaded inserts in it.

Some flash brackets that sit over the side rangefinder are attached with wood screws. Machine screws can be used with a nut on the inside of the camera body.

Thanks for the reply but I was just contacted by the man who sold me the camera. He is sending the mounting bracket and screws to me.
