I've realigned after putting in a new, thinner beamsplitter, but can not get the lateral (side ways) coincidence. I have an external adjustment, but it was not enough and went internally and adjusted #9,
(http://graflex.org/speed-graphic/kalart-manual.html) page 7
but it its still off. If I adjust it more, clockwise, the screw just comes out.
What needs to be done, or what didn't I do?
thanks ... |

Did you shim the new piece of beam splitter so that the front edge is at the same distance out from the mount frame as the old one? _________________ The best camera ever made is the one that YOU enjoy using and produces the image quality that satifies YOU. |

I put the new, thinner beamsplitter, next to the metal holder, and shimmed, using thicker paper stock on top of it. In other words the shim is between the glass and the clip.
So what your saying is do it again Sam, put the shim underneath.
Practice makes perfect. |

Yes,
The shim goes between the frame and mirror, not the mirror and clip. _________________ The best camera ever made is the one that YOU enjoy using and produces the image quality that satifies YOU. |
