hey all 23 lovers

just found this on 23 crown close-up lens

http://arukucamera.net/23CrownGraphic.html

on page #2
"I have some close-up photos taken with different lenses here"

Adapter lens board for using Nikon F-mount lenses on 2x3 Graphics.

with a Nikon F to EL adapter

75mm f4 Schneider Apo-Artar HM lens, mounted on 2x3 Crown
Graphic - This is an extremely sharp lens, but the out-of-focus areas can
look somewhat harsh, so you have to keep that in mind when using it.

this mite be bether if used on a baby speed!!!

Um, Banjo, here: http://www.galerie-photo.com/1-lens-6x9-dan-fromm.html is my take on closeup work with 2x3 Graphics. Sorry, no example shots.

Many many different lenses can be used closeup on a 2x3 Graphic. I haven't really scratched the surface. I found, with too much fumbling, a set of lenses that met my needs and then stopped looking.

Although, as you'll see if you read the full piece (it is here: http://www.galerie-photo.com/telechargement/dan-fromm-6x9-lenses-v2-2011-03-29.pdf ) I haven't stopped buying shutters that happen to have lenses in them. The latest was a Copal #0 Press that has a 105/4.5 D.O.I. lens it it. It came from a$1.00 mug shot camera that I picked up 6/20. Probably an enlarging lens, but who can tell with D.O.I.'s products?

You're right, a 2x3 Speed is a better bet with lenses in barrel, such as most enlarging lenses, than a 2x3 Crown/Century. But hanging a lens in front of a leaf shutter isn't that hard or expensive.

#1. I started with a diaphragm-less Copal #1 Press, ex-Polaroid MP-4, eventually lucked into a cheap lens that was mounted on a Copal #1 cock-and-shoot. For closeup work out-of-doors with flash the cock-and-shoot's top speed of 1/400 makes it much more useful than the Press (top speed 1/125).
