If it is the one with the 2 button focus, it is pretty straight forward. It has mx sync, but is on a non-standard shoe, at least my vivitar strobe will not slide in mine. Also the shutter will not fire with the lever button, unless there is film in it. You have to manually cock the shutter each time you take a picture. It will have a 2.8 or a 3.5 Graflar lens. If you want to know more E-mail me, Russ (jdman@aol.com)

thank you for replying!
i've got the graphic35 f/3.5 lens.
some of the terminology you used in your post i didn't understand (ie "mx sync", "non-standard shoe"), but what i do understand is that it does have a 2 button focus, the two black levers on either side of the lens. and i think you're saying that with no film in the camera the shutter won't operate the same as when there is film loaded.
what do you mean when you say i have to manually cock the shutter?

if you prefer i could email you.

thanks again!

Thats the camera, MX sync means M for flashbulbs, and X is for strobe. You set it for the one you are using. The little lever at the top of the lens must be cocked each time you take a picture. There are hardly any self cocking shutters on graflex equipment such is on modern cameras. An exception is the Graflex 22 and Century 2x3. By non standard shoe, that is where the sync connection is made, and the height of the jaws is a little less than a modern Hot shoe. Since there is no other sync connection on your camera you have a small problem. Will give you more details via e-mail. Russ

I picked up a Graphic 35 a month ago from e-bay as well. I was able to down load a manual and I have had great success in using it. I have found the film transport mechanism to be a little tricky, but I really like this camera. Let me know if you have run into any specific problem and maby I can help.
