I am looking for either a Crown 4 X 5 View
or a Graphic View II for my personal use I
am no longer professional. I was in and out
of photography for over 59 years (Civil &
Military) always ended up with Graphic Equip-
ment. About 20 yrs ago Medical expenses
caused the loss of it all.
I would prefer a Crown View with lensboard
capable of accepting any lens 210mm up to
270mm in Copal Shutter. If it is a Crown
that I find here I also would like good
cosmetic appearance. Could anyone tell me
where I might find one in the next 40 days?
Thanks: Norman

Flash Unit w/cables and reflector 5" put a bid on that and a bid on a Rodenstock Geronar
300mm f9.

Yes, that e thing can be time consuming and more. I've found that graflex equipement gets listed in "large format" and "ventige" sections. Use the search box in each with graflex, then with graffic. That usually shows all the graflex equipement listed and cuts down the time.

It doesn't have to take a long time to hunt for one or two items on eBay. eBay will allow you to save up to three 'favorite searches' and they will email you when one is listed. Keep the search simple, place it in quotes such as "view II" or "view 2" or maybe "graphic view". Of course, you must register!

I just did a search for "graflex" in titles and descriptions in "Photo" on the left side they give a breakdown as to where all the auction are in the sub catagories--
film Cameras (214)
Vintage (8
Camera Accessories (56)
Projection equipment (12)
Film (6)
Darkroom Eq supplies (4)
Lenses (3)
Digital Cameras (1) (paramount is selling Coolpix tips with your choice of other ends including gralfex biPost)

this way if your looking for just a camera you can weed out 82 of the 279 hits. This new feature is a big help.

I used to search for "graphic, graflex, folmer" and get a pretty consisitant 400 hits. Then they put digital cameras in the photo section and I got mostly 'noise' hits with the word "graphic". Now I can look to see where most of them are and filter out the noise.

The eBay sales of Crown Views are few and far between, and the price has doubled in the last year. I think the last one went for about $500. Graphic Views and II's are very common, and you should be able to find a good one in the $200 range.
This II with Graflok back is now at $165, and the reserve has been met:

This one is prettier and is at $133.50 with no reserve:

This outfit has four lenses, and is at $202.50. The reserve has been met:

(That last one is a complete outfit that has the almost mythical bellows lens shade, so it will probably be expensive).

Regards,

Gerald Pierce
