Has anyone here used graded papers with the Graflarger with original tube? Just wondering before I buy a new bulb.

I've ordered grade 3 paper (Oriental) and will be expermenting. If it doesn't work out at least I'll know what it will provide in terms of contrast with the bulb. Probably should have went for grade 4, but grade three is probably more useable with contact prints.

Yes, I print mainly with graded papers, and I've used the Graflarger. As with any cold light head, you might want a contrastier neg than you would for a condenser head, or if you normally print at grade 2 with a condenser head, you might find you need to print at grade 3 or somewhere in between with a cold light head.

With graded paper, the color of the light is not an issue, as it is for VC papers, so it shouldn't make much of a difference whether you have the old bulb or a new one.
