Greetings Graflex Stroboflash lovers. I have spent the last two months of my life designing and testing the ultimate AC line operated power supply for the Stroboflash II and IV models.
I was just going to provide the schematic so you could build your own but it is too complicated and too dangerous to fool with 500 volts so I am willing to build some *******.
Now you can use your units for studio strobes. Here is what it does:
Solid state, regulated 450VDC power supply. Adjustable from 250VDC to 500VDC. Preset to 450v.
Includes an LED ready light that can be installed in the side of your case.
Recycles a Stroboflash IV at full power in 5 seconds!
SAFE! - ISOLATED from the AC line otherwise you would get zapped when touching the reflector and something grounded! Built on a professionally made printed circuit board.
Fits right in the standard Stroboflash case. Weighs about 2 lb. Plugs in to the battery pins. No wiring or disassembly required.
I am getting ready to place an order for printed circuit boards. If you are interested in purchasing one of these let me know. I am charging $75.00 plus shipping. Basically the cost of parts and no profit when you figure my labor to hand build each one. Don't forget, 2 Everready 489 batteries are almost 200 bucks so this is a bargain!!
