I am doing a ground glass for a RB graflex, what I need to know, is the glass rounded as was with some of the older camera backs that had been routed, IE: Deardorff.

Thanks guys, I have never done a screen for one of these and just want to make sure.

Dave

The two I've seen close up, a "Series B" and a "Super D," both had square-cornered groundglasses. The GG is held above the body's top frame on four metal brackets that allow you to move the panel up and down, to correct the focus when necessary. It's not seated in any kind of routed recess, at all.

I'll be interested to hear from those with more extensive experience with the big reflexes.

Which ground glass are you doing, the one under the focus hood or the optional one that attaches to the back?
The optional for the rear is mounted in a routed frame and is square cornered.
The one under the view hood is square cornered and mounts under a spring clampframe on the front and into a routed lip on the rear with a metal edge clamp. The front clamp is moveable up and down to adjust for correct view from the mirror.

Thanks guys, the person who ordered the glass did not stipulate which one it was, he just gave me the measurments of 118mm by 120mm, so it sounds like both are squared at the corners.
Thanks again.

Dave
