I just got my first 2x3 and it came with a 620 Tatro adapt a roll. I looked up the info on this site and was wondering where to optain a take up spool??? Do I shoot a few rolls of 620 then switch to 120. Do I have to sacrifice a rool to obtain the take up spool???I'm new to this sas you can tell. Is there a site that can explain how to load and use this back???

Since I had some old cameras I had collected, I found an empty 620 spool in one...so, try to come up with one. I use 120 film by putting a piece of masking tape over the larger-than-620 hole at the end of the spool, and I punch a small hole in the middle of the hole. A roll of 120 film can just barely be forced into feed position. Some people trim a bit off the edge of the spool at each end to make insertion easier, but I use brute force. If you can't find an empty 620 spool for take-up..I have oddly found that buying an old 620 camera with a spool at a flea market or on eBay costs less than buying a spool or roll of film to waste.

You can buy 620 film at B&H Photo Video ( http://www.bhphotovideo.com ). It's pretty limited though. If you order some, ask if they have any extra spools.

When you send your film out to be developed, just make sure you tell them that you want your spool back. Most will return it without any issue.

Or, you can just re-spool 120 onto 620. Film is the same size, it's just the spool that's different
