I have seen several 3x4 RB ******* on ebay. Has any converted one to 4x5 or know what it would take? I don't have any dimensions on the 3x4 and 4x5 models. Does any one have them or for the rotating backs used on these comeras? My idea is to mount a std. 4x5 graphlock back in place of the 3x4 RB. Maybe you only get a 4x4 negative image on 4x5 film, but atleast film would be easly obtainable. |

There was a RB Auto in photonet's clasified a while back that stated it was a profesional conversion from 3x4 to 4x5. That ad is no longer there.

I have a conversion for
>3x4 RB< to >4x5 RB Graflok<
But you must understand.....no one can convert a 3x4 camera to take 4x5 photos, as the curtain and back openings cannot be stretched that big!
The addition of a Graflok back simply put...only makes it possible to take 3x4 photos with a 4x5 Graflok back in place...with the convenience of using 4x5 accessories......Polaroid for example, does not currently make 2x3 or 3x4 Polaroid backs, but their 4x5 backs are quite popular!
I just installed one of my modified backs on a 3x4 Auto for a fellow back east....I have photos of it if anyone is interested...

Lower case of coarse!!! The photos also show a replacement stovepipe hood and new handle I fabbed for this camera!! Bert |
