I added a sheet of cut-to-size paper to the plate area where the paper film backing passes over(if that makes any sense) then adhere with tape under the rollers. I lightly waxed the paper w/candle wax so film backing paper moves smoothly as knob turns. Works great. Experiment w/different grades of papers to find the right thickness until knob turns feel firm, not forced. Reuse a roll of film with the paper backing intact for testing. Keep in mind Color emulsion is thicker than B/W.
