I have a 1947 news photo of an LAPD crime scene technician carrying what appears to be a large format (presumably Speed Graphic) camera with a long, pyramid-shaped snout on the front, which I assume is some kind of close-up attachment. Does this type of camera ring a bell with anyone?

In the secondary photographs of this camera, you can see a couple of close up attachments. These made it easy to do 1:1 life size images.

Unless you can send me a photo I can't help you more than that.
