In the time that has elasped I have come up with, at a rather HIGH price, a notebook style group of manuals and service bulitens on Graflex equipement.
All I can gather from the "Selonid" section is that the #2 (cat. 2531) is for 2 X 3 cameras; #3 (cat. 2532)...Discontinued was for 3 X 4 cameras; and, drum roll please , #0 (cat. 2530) for, you guessed it, 4 X 5!
All adjustment, troubleshooting, testing and general info are for the #2 and #0 both designed to work with the 3 cell flash handle. All specific to camera use is refered to the PRICE Catalogue. Date on the info I have is 1964 Graflex, Division of General Precision.
Charles

Damn!! No wonder I can't fit this #0 solenoid on my 2X3 lensboards! Thanks, Charles...the mystery is solved. Fred.

Fred, AFAIK, the Graflex solenoids were all the same size. For your 23, there was a special bracket (called an M3 mount) available which mounted the solenoid horizontal, across the top of the front standard (the lensboard is not big enough). Then, through a long arm, connection was made with the shutter release. Believe me, it looks strange.

So, only the number of battery cells determines which solenoid is appropriate. There's still hope for that #0. I bet Fred Lustig has that kit (#2763) and can fit it. You'd certainly have a rarity if you did it.
