Sometime around 1912 Mr. folmer purchased a Single Entry Journal. In it he entered the job number, type of camera used, number of cameras to be made on that job number, serial numbers to be used. Sometime around 1921 somebody started adding date. Notice this is the date the serial numbers were entered in the book, not when the camera was made. (and this lag time varies from weeks to 2 years).

this book lasted until around 1964 when they went to a new book.

I've managed to aquire a copy of the book with the stipulation that I don't publish it, reveal its source or charge for the information.

(One of these days I'm going to write a neat cloak and daggar story about how I was able to sneak in and liberate it from evil people whose sole intent was to recycle the paper, but I haven't gotten around to it.
