Just wondered when film Pack production ceased - (there must have been more than Kodak making film packs) - so did all Mfr's stop in the same year or so, and did any continue beyond when Kodak ceased?
And what other film Mfr's produced film packs.....any still making them?

Here's my spin/interpretation. For whatever reason, foreign imported film was never on the radar screen through the 50s and 60s. By the late 60s and 70s all of Kodak's home competitors-Dupont, Haloid, Agfa-ansco were bankrupt or out of the film business
Kodak was the last to still make them-- their profits could allow for a lot of money losing items in their catalogs-- I can remember Polyfiber coming in at least 15 sizes including 8,5 x 11, 11x17 6 1/2 x 8 1/2, etc.
The story goes...an I still consider it a story was the last few people making filmpacks at Kodak retired and it was a quick way to drop a non profit product. That was in 1993.

In all of the boxes I've looked at in old studios and on ebay, I've seen lots of manufacturers of film pack adapters, but I've never seen a film pack from somebody other than Kodak.
