I picked up a somewhat battered 4x5 Grafmatic last weekend, and it looks workable except that one of the internal springs that pushes the septums forward is missing, broken off at the base (this is the largish flat spring, about 3" x 1/4", that is inside the drawer; these two springs push the septum holding the next unexposed film forward when you pull out and reinsert the darkslide).
Anyway, I'll find a spring (I think I could make one out of the springs inside a used pack of polaroid film) but I'm not sure how to attach the new spring. The old spring is attached with two small, very flat rivets: I suspect I won't be able to find replacements, and a tiny bolt or screw would be too deep: so I was wondering if a good strong two part epoxy would work to attach a replacement spring, or if anyone has a better suggestion (or a source for appropriately sized rivets!).
Thanks,
