A friend has recently given me a Speed Graphic in return for some photo work I did for him. Problem is, the rear curtain is torn and the shutter button is stuck. I can still use the lens shutter. Will the camera function properly if I simply remove the rear curtain? I know this may be sacriledge to some, but I don't think the rear curtain is a function I would use anyway. Thanks for any help on this problem. |

Yes, the curtain can be removed, no problem!
Or you can simply turn the curtain to the "T" slot, then push the 'trip button' in towards the body (with 2 fingers) and move it..down..to the front position! Email me at
