This one is a late model, post '64. I suggest you look around this site and find the alpha-numeric decode page.
Your camera should have an alpha-numeric code stamped either on the underside of the web of the front focus rails, or on the inside of the body on the side opposite the handle. |

Thank you for responding. I am not sure what you mean by under the web. I don't see any other numbers except a label on patent numbers. |

The web is the cross bar part of the focus rails on the bed of the camera. It's usually the front web that the date is stamped on, but it's on the underside.
Rack the rails out until this web is beyond the edge of the bed and look underneath it . The code will look something like K5A, althought there might be more letters after the number.

So I wasn't far off. H6A decodes to August of '66. I guessed Sept 65 |

Thanks for all your help. This camera is really not that old. It's in graet shape.
I shot 3 pictures yesterday. The first one forgot to take dark slide out. The second one went ok. The third one went wrong when I put the dark slide back in and heard a crunch. Ruined the film. Well I guess there will be a learning curve.
Thanks again. |
