Cher amis photographes,

J’ai un Kodak 35, avec télémètre couplé, Made in USA…
Comment rembobiner mon KODAK 35.
Amicalement, Eric.

Dear photographer friends:

I have a Kodak 35 with coupled rangefinder, Made in USA. I've been able to open it and load a 24 exposure of that good old film HP5. I took my 24 shots, but when I went to rewind the film I couldn't do it.

Help me, friends! How does one rewind the film in a Kodak 35?

Yours in friendship,

Eric

Dan...if you're still around...translate this for Eric: To rewind the film in a Kodak 35, pull up the wind knob and rewind with the knob under the camera. Thanks. Fred.

Cher Fred, cher Dan,

Amicalement, Eric.

My Kodak 35 doesn't have a button underneath, just two on top, one "wind," the other "rewind". It opens by removing the base from below, in other words it opens a little like a Leica III.

Kodak Number 1 Kodamatic is written on the shutter, the lens is a 50/3.5. It has a rangefinder which is coupled to the shutter (I think he means lens standard[Dan]). And I haven't rewound the film yet.

Thanks to both of you, and to the patience and to the patience and mutual aid of our translator Dan.

In friendship,

Eric

[Come on guys, surely one of us has a Kodak 35. I saw one at a camera flea market last Sunday, regret I didn't know this question would come up.

Cheers,

Dan]

I am sorry my information was not correct...I got it from Google. It's obvious that the re-wind knob for the Kodak 35 is on top. I just downloaded the Kodak 35 RF Manual, and it says to rewind the film, you pull up the wind knob...hold it up...and rewind with the rewind knob in the direction of the arrow on the knob. Fred.

Cher tous,
Amicalement, Eric.

Hi, folks. I still haven't pierced the mystery of the Kodak 35, but as Napoleon said, the impossible doesn't exist. Tomorrow I''ll open the Kodak 35 in the dark room. It won't have given up its secret, but I'll have my shots.

Best regards,

Eric

If you pull the wind knob up, it will move a fraction of an inch. Then you will be able to rewind your film. Push it back down to adavance the film.

I know this is an old thread, just read it.
