Thanks go to Graflex.org for the reference to Mr. Lustig (Reno NV) as a source of parts and repairs for Graflex/Graphic cameras! Twice he has performed flawless work in a timely manner on two cameras. He rebuilt the rangefinder in my Super Graphic (which could not be calibrated and had a broken mirror!) as well as overhauled the shutter and general overhaul. Most recently, he repaired a focusing bed on a Pacemaker Speed Graphic where there was so much slack in the links between the halves (5mm of play) that the rangefinder could not work properly. There is a very specific procedure to replace these links to get zero play. His technical knowledge and machinist skills (along with passion for Graflex equipment) enable him to make 30-50 year old equipment work as good or better than new. In both cases, the repairs were well worth the investment. |
