I just received my Graphic View II camera. IT is very nice. It was missing the spacer at the bottom screw of the rise/fall standard "Lock", but I made one out of a 20 cent roll pin and got it to within .003 in of the other.

I also have a top rangerfinder Crown Graphic and I've read that there is an adapter that I can use to interchane the lens boards from Crown to View. Anyone have a picture of one? Where do I look for such an animal?

Oh, and the hook. I found a metal hook, that at first looked like a coat hanger, but upon further look, I noticed that it has a curve with a little 'hook' on the end and that both sides have been ground flat and the curve and end are heat treated. Defenitely not your typical coat hook. Any ideas on if this is Graflex or what it might be?

I'll trade you a photo of a Graphic view adapter for a photo of this odd hook.

The Pacemaker to View adapter boards show up on E__y every so often, sometimes with old lens and pacemaker boards attached that the seller don't realize they have or don't care.

Have 2 or 3 adaptor board photos that I will share! Need a photo of the "hook" to figure what it is!

Well, that's intersing Dave.
I have a NEW Singer RH-12 never been used on a camera so should work just fine. But it's for a 2X3 Graflok back. Didn't know if you'd be interested in a swap or not.

I have some nice lenses on my Crown Graphic boards, and would be so nice to be able to use them also on this Graphic II.

By the way, do you know if it can handle a Symmar S Schneider at 210mm??

Oh, and that hook... it is tempered from the curve on out. It is ground flat on the insde of the curve. It has a ground flat end. It has both sides of the curve ground flat. measures 3 1/2 inches long. NOT coat hanger, it's hardened steel and tempered PLUS precision ground in places.. not by a dremmel either.. *S*

Les,
If you can email me with your email address I'd be glad to send you a picture of the hook. I did find one board today at Quality Cameras in Atlanta Georgia.. $69.00 Ok.. now tell me how foolish I was and could have got it for 30 bucks! LOL >p>

Have you guys seen that article on how to custom make a little holder for the Graphic View cameras? Neat article about making that holder and eliminating the handle part and makes it able to sit in the case with that on it.

Anyone know what the maximum lens focal length you can use on that Graphic View II?

THE HOOK: It was made for a recessed lens in a recessed lens board I got with the camera. You can cock the shutter with it and "hang" it on the shutter release (notch) while you compose, then simply pull down on the metal piece and the shutter trips.. Sort of a handy-man's invention for big fingered guys! LOL

Oh, and the Graphic View II handles the 210 Symmar very well!
