When I place the graflok back to take vertical pictures it fogs the film.

Is this a common problem with my Graphic View II?

I have a small mount of play in my back to the camera. anyone else have this? Or have added foam to the back?

Loose back could be problematic, suggest you
replace springs! The fogging when you rotate
back is most likely a bad film holder (dark
slide prob)

I checked the film holder.. It is actually the newest holder I own..

What should I be looking for??
it is not cracked.. Is there a seal that should be changed??

two things to look at---dark slide could be leaking light (new holder--not likely)the tension against the holder most likely--when
the dark slide is removed, the holder moves
away from seat, exposing the edges of the film. The spring back is a leaf spring, like
the car springs of old--suggest you can add
a helper leaf, until you can locate new springs>>>not pretty>>>but functional Bert

I have a graflok back on my graphic view.

Can I "add" a spring to this?

I would sugest checking your other backs and only use those backs that dont have light leaks in the portrate/verticle position.
