If the lens is original to the camera, it's 1941 (EC). |

yes the lens would be a 1941
but 382407 would be a 46 or 47
1941 would be more like 272543 to 292785 |

Interesting... I wonder if the original lens was this one and just N.O.S. at the time (e.g., war years interrupted manufacturing of civilian cameras) or if this lens was put on by someone later on.
This camera was an eBay find and is in really good shape. The Kalart RF seems to work just fine in comparing it to the ground glass at various distances (I haven't done an exhaustive test yet). The lens shutter sounds good at all speeds. The focal plane shutter seems brand new even though it is, of course, 60+ years old. I didn't realize that this was the same type of Tension+curtain slit kind of shutter like on my RB Series D until it arrived. I love how you can dial it in to either 1/90 sec or 1/100 sec, depending on the setting, just in case that difference of a 1/10 sec is really that critical to one's procedure.
Everything works well and is in good shape. This was obviously not left for years in a damp basement.
My 4x5 Pacemaker Speed is far rougher than this one. |

First quarter 1946.
Miniature speeds were produced into the first quarter of 1947 and at some point in that first quarter Pacemaker Speeds and Crowns started production and the Miniature Speed ended. _________________ The best camera ever made is the one that YOU enjoy using and produces the image quality that satifies YOU. |
