Hi Everybody

I am brand new to the world of Graflex/Graphic View etc. And to the forum.
Hope you seasoned vets can be of help with my specific predicament.

I'm trying to figure out how to get a cut film holder on the back of my Graphic View. Basically I dont have Graflok installed. but I do have flip up hood and a ground glass "viewer". As in the images:

Since I don't really know the names and I'm learning as I go what wbe the right course of action for me?
Thanks
Antonie[/img]

What you have is a Graflex back, first one I've seen on a View.
http://www.southbristolviews.com/pics/Graphic/manual-pdf/GraphicView2Service.pdf
shows it.

will be of help also.

Your back accepts Graflex film holders only. They are wider than standard film holders and have a grove down each side. You set the holder onto the fixed bar with the dark slide end to the open end of the back then slide the movable bar down against the holder like the ground glass frame when installed.

Thanks 45PSS

That is what I had suspected.

So if I wanted to put a Gaflok back on I'd have to get a whole new back mount.
(All the black painted parts)
Or
Would it slip onto the back using the same principle as the Graflex holder

(IE: slipping onto the fixed bar with the dark slide end to the open end of the back then slide the movable bar down against the top like the ground glass frame when installed.)

The Graflok would attach to the camera using the same clips as the Graflex. Remove the back frame as if changing from Portrait to Landscape then attach the Graflok frame.

The Graflok frame in that listing is wood and therefore probably for a Crown view, a wooden view camera.
I do not know if it will fit on a Graphic view, the seller seems to think so.
