I have a 135mm Graflex Optar f/4.7 and a Number 33 Kodak Anastigmat f/4.5 7.5 inch lens. What size filters would they take?

Steve

hey Steve
what you need to find is Kodak Series VI , VII ,or VIII slip on Adapter Ring
with Drop-In Filters
my 127mm Graflex Optar f/4.5 needs a 38mm slip on Adapter Ring
your 135mm Graflex Optar f/4.7 is some where about the same size

there are other brands but they will say for Kodak Series VI , VII ,or VIII

Kodak Series IV, V are to small

Thanks 1banjo, now I need to find a 38mm slip-on Adapter Ring. The Number 33 Kodak Anastigmat f/4.5 7.5 inch lens is about 48mm. So I will need a set-up adapter or two sets of filters.

hey Steve

you may need to go Series VII ,or VIII to find a 48mm slip-on Adapter Ring

you can go to
http://silverbased.org/series-filters/

Measure the outside diameter of the front barrel at the center. Series adapters were made in both inch and metric size. Some brands have both measurements stated on them. Kodak, Tiffen, are some of the best.

Get the larger filters and step down to the smaller size to fit both lens without vignetting.

Thanks! I have the thread diameter for the Kodak Anastigmat of 1 7/8 inches, but I am waiting for some shutter patching material so I cannot measure the outside diameter until I finish the patching.
