Brought a tear to my eye too.... the idiot DPs that insist on "looking good vs looking real" have all the cameras focused at about 1:1.

I don't think the first photographer that flashes the camera is real. A properly placed flash or flash bulb can fry a CCD sensor, particularly at that close a range, much easier to control the flash in post production.

but a lot of the 'crowd' flashes seemed to be real, unless the digital post production has advanced to the point they can light up reflectors after the flash. Seems easier just to use the bulbs. I saw at one 2x3 camera, couldn't tell if it was a Mini Speed or a Busch.

hey all
hey go back & look at the first one !! the rangefinder & the flash is on the wrong side of the camera!! you know on the right side as your seeing it from the front IT should be on the lift
all of the others are on lift side as we see them from the front !!
Now I did see two Burke & James 4x5s
two top rangefinders Pacemakers maybe Crowns!?!
I can't find a 2x3 but it look like about 10 or 15 old 4x5 cameras any way

Actually the RF, Flash, body release, handle, solenoid, and to a certain extent the way they locked the front standard is all backwards.

I think the guy/camera was done on a green screen and dropped into the commercial later, and they decided to flip the shot. Maybe because things changed, maybe because it was all a conspiracy for your unconscious to subliminally pick up on the backwards thing and make you think about Taco Bell some more.

Watching that commercial must have reminded you guys of the first time you saw George Lucas' 1977 epic space fantasy and realized that Luke's weapon was built around a Graflex, huh?
