Can anyone explain this thing to me? I just got one off of Ebay and all that I know it that it fits on the Graflex 4x5, has two lenses and a template. I'm not even positive that it fits in the Speed Graphic camera. Ive looked everywhere and cant find a thing on it. Can anyone here help? |

you may have to insert the divider through the back of the camera.
For Government Passport work, you need two identical photographs with some VERY specific dimensions.
With the Pass Passport accessory you can convert a Speed Graphic to do the job.
The twin lenses take the same image at the same time. The divider keeps the images from overlapping.
Process and contact print the sheet of film.
Cut the photo to the proper size.
Send both photos along with the paper work to Uncle Sam. (okay as a photographer, you just gave the customer the double photo.
I think this also works with Polaroid, though for years Uncle Sam nixed these prints. _________________ "In order to invent, you need a good imagination and a lot of junk" Thomas Edison |

Hmm... when I applied for my first passport back in the early '90s, I had the photos shot at local camera store, and they were Polaroids for sure. Besides, how can you tell Polaroid prints from any others once they're trimmed to the regulation size? Don't tell me that I got away with fooling Uncle Sam?? Maybe I should have this store do my income tax, too! |

I was pretty much assuming that I'd be putting the template through the back.
How would I convert the speed graphic to do the job? Would this involve some chopping? Or some inventive Duct taping? |

Waldo, don't use duct tape, use darkroom tape. It leaves no residue. |
