Hi,
I just recently acquired one of these old OD green wooden beasts but it has no lens. Anyone know what lens(es) this came with?? Actually ANY info at all on this camera would be great! It's about a 1928 model serial #15663.
Many thanks,
Bruce

The UK based Vade Mecum sez B&L made lenses for the US Navy F-1

5x7 8.25 in f4.0 Altimar
10 in f4.5
20 in f5.6
I got a pdf from a web source and it prints out thus

F1 5x7 f4.0 8.25in Altimar,f4.5,10in; f5.6 20in
so beware of my interpretation

Welllll
I'm having a bad day
Real trouble with crashing of the browser, forgetting my passwork and neglecting to read the query
I read F1 and responded
I regret I have no clue about model A1

We all have days like that!
I suspect it would be B&L or Kodak, maybe a Schneider.
Thanks anyway Ed.
Cheers,
Bruce

Okay it took a trip from Detroit to LA, (driving all the way) but I found your information: the 1A used a 10" Kodak Anastigmat f4.5 (a re-badged tessar)
