I’m a proud owner of a RB series b 2x3 graflex, with the great ektar lens. (found cheap)

Well truthfully it’s in the mail and should be here later this week.

Only a few cameras nerds such as myself would understand the pride in vintage cameras.

This camera came with the 23 roll back, so basically this will be a 6x9 camera for me.

Camera repair is nothing new to me, I’ve been working on Zeiss cameras and Rolleicords for several years.

I know this graflex camera will not be perfect, no matter what the online sellers says.

At the very least I will need to clean the focusing screen, optics and maybe adjustments to the shutter.

So to sum up my post,

Are there any photos around or step by step CLA tips for this model camera?

Thanks
-Wes

No one has written that book yet and although I am capable I won't. When you get the camera in hand and go over it using the operating instructions in the On Line RB Graflex manual then ask specific questions about the areas of confusion. The Graflex SLR's are very simple Mahogany Body leather/leatherette covered cameras. Clean the exterior, bellows, and view hood with any good general purpose cleaner and treat with Pledge Natural Beauity in the yellow aresol can. If the shutter curtain is anything but soft flexable cloth, remove the back and coat the entire length of the curtain with Pledge Natural Beauity and let it sit for a few hours then carefully wipe the excess off. Pay close attention to what size screw comes out of which hole on any part of the camera your disassemble. Use the search feature of the site liminting the search to the Reflex Help section and all the terms in the keyword box.
