Can anyone tell me the year the Graflite series of flash units was introduced?

Thanks.

Hi Doug, Look here...

http://www.graflex.org/graflex-products-list.html

Scroll down the list & voila! Graflite introduced 10/48 & ran right to the close of Graflex, almost 30 years later. That's a long run and explains why there are so many more Graflite flashes than there are earlier model Graflex flashes.

They are called " the new Graflex flash synchronizer " in the 1948, 8th edition, 3rd printing of the Master Book, but the word Graflite is not used.

A rose by any other name.... Totally O/T but kinda related: in '91 I purchased a Ford Explorer (still have it, w/211K+ miles), which was then a completely new model of the type that has come to be known, of course, as a "Sport Utility Vehicle." Believe it or not, the Ford sales literature (I kept the brochure, too) for that year called it a "compact utility vehicle." The term SUV never appeared then.

OK, I'll crawl back into my gadget bag now....
