At long last, I found one and got it. It looks like it has never been used. Would like to share notes with other owners.

First question:the case has Serial Number 7. Can that be for real?

Does anyone have serial numbers/dates?

Thank you in advance.

I have one of these sets.the serial number of my set is 397.The standard and telephoto lenses were made in 1953;the wide-angle lens dates to 1954.I assume the body dates to 1953.My set is missing the filters.does anyone know where I can find series VIII filters?

If you post your serial number query in the "Serial number savy [sic!]" forum, Gandolf might get around to responding. Seems that the requests are piling up!

Series filter sources include "junk" drawers at old-line camera stores, dealer tables at Swap-and-Shop camera meets, and famous auction web site uBuy (oBoy, eGad, oGod, etc.). Happy Hunting!
