Onpic--Afraid that you have hit the old brick wall on the change you want--Graflok was never made for these old cameras, for the Speed and Crown types and View cameras only! Can be modified without changing the original setup--but it will be a modified
GraFLEX back--not a GraFLOK!
Bert
Have been restoring these cameras for over 20 years...up until the time I wrote this
totally mistaken blurb.....I had never seen a Graflok back made for a Graflex SLR!! Then when I make a complete fool of myself, they start comming out of the woodwork! Boy is my face red!!!

My Super-D has a Graflok back on it, evidently an aftermarket modification. A standard Graflok can be used but one extra screw hole must be drilled in it.
Super-D Graflex's could be special ordered wtih Graflok backs. Most Graflex cameras could be ordered with either Graflex or Graphic backs.
Its necessary to shim the finder ground glass to match the back. The position of the film plane is slightly different.

i have perfected s modification that is far superior to the factory installaton of the graflox back on a 45 super d. in the fifties when graflex would make the switch or you could order it with the graflok, all that was available to use was the speed graphics oversized one so that hangs over the side. taking the graflok back from a graphic view that arrived later, milling it down, allows it
to fit exactly in the same sq space as the original graflex back, using the same holes to mount it. it cost me $100 +back to have the milling done. Had several done, l left complete with gg glass $225 if that will help.
